Campaign Story
* Typical cost of capstone projects (including registrations, travel and supplies) is about $1200.
* I am trying to raise $600 as family and school will cover the rest.
Goals for My Fundraiser:
Supporting my capstone project
*** I plan to pursue the project though participation in TSA activities like competitions and community service. ***
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that helps students explore STEM through hands-on projects, competitions, and leadership opportunities.
What is ‘Tech Access Advocacy Initiative’
Develop an initiative to bridge the digital divide by creating educational gaming platforms and organizing community tech access workshops.

Why I am pursuing this project (My why)
- I am a ‘Influencer’ personality type person with strong ‘entrepreneurship’ business potential.
- I’m passionate about creating video games that tell stories from history and make a positive difference in the world. I’m using my skills as a social entrepreneur in educational gaming tech to tackle the unfairness in who gets access to this technology. My goal? To help bring about world peace through creative projects and standing up for what’s right..
My plan of action: Competitions and Activities
Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) to join:
TSA – The Technology Student Association equips students with STEM skills and fosters innovative project development, making it ideal for integrating technical and social impact projects.
FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America focuses on developing business acumen and leadership, which complements the entrepreneurial elements of the project.
Competitions
TSA – Software DevelopmentThis introductory competition encourages students to design a software project, which aligns with the Tech Access Advocacy Initiative by teaching foundational coding and project planning skills.
FBLA – Coding & Programming
This introductory competition from FBLA helps students grasp core programming and application development skills that are essential for creating tech-based advocacy projects.
TSA – Drone Challenge (UAV)As an advanced competition in Year 2, this event challenges students to design, program, and operate a UAV, further deepening their technical and engineering skills while elevating their project scope.
DECA – EntrepreneurshipThis advanced competition is ideal for showcasing the ability to develop a sustainable business plan around the Tech Access Advocacy Initiative, merging technological innovation with business strategy.
Community Service:
Tech Access Community Workshop
Why it fits: This activity directly supports the passion project by allowing the student to share acquired tech skills with local youth, fostering community engagement in zip code 30038.
Implementation: Plan and execute a series of workshops during the Spring semester where students and local volunteers teach coding basics, digital literacy, and access to technology resources, partnering with local community centers.
Skills Development: Leadership, public speaking, teaching, community engagement, and technical facilitation
